Trying to figure out an anomaly that has crept up over here from time to time. I just want to understand the following process.

WWIVTOSS writes messages to DB-BBS/MESSAGES by placing a *.MSG and *.PKT file for each export. Just recently, I have been noticing when DB processes - it deletes the *.MSG and the *.PKT stays in MESSAGES and doesn't move to the QUEUE/QNAME.

If I manually copy the file to the QNAME, it goes out no problem. Still trying
to figure out what is going on, since it is random. Probably a file locking issue with something here, but other than changing hosts for Dovenet, have not updated anything.

My DB-BBS is running the very latest DB, where my hub is one rev back.

Sounds like a file-locking problem if this happens randomly.

Is this limited to specific downlinks or echoes?

Are you able to examine any logs from WWIVTOSS or run Process Explorer to somewhat drill-down further?
