Interesting posting, but then before it happened over here my friend also posted about the London Buses having signs on them proclaiming....
"GOD doesn't Exist...Now you can get on with your lifes!"
At the thought of thought police in England, and your posting I
am reminded by posting by a judge retired, of the same.
seems to be normal in response to International Terrorism but it
also has impacted the UK as a whole, as my learned friend has
pointed out to me.
I am going to forward to him your text .... and allow him to reply
if he desires through me.

Hello Peter. I had heard that the British were turning into quite
an ungodly people, but I didn't know that it had now gone that far. Amazing...or perhaps "sad" would be a better choice of words. :(
It is (or was) an advertising campaign, and a number of US cities have "Why Islam?" adverts promoting islam as a "religion of peace". It puts the bus company in a quandary - do they censor such things, or allow them as free speech, and in the case of the British buses there were objections from some drivers over being assigned to drive buses which contradicted their faith.
Britain is accommodating its muslim minority, while repressing its (professing) Christian majority - banning "Saint George" parades, renaming Christmas as Winterval, serving halal food to all children in some schools, not having "piggy banks" in bank branches because it "offends" the minority, and so on.
Here is a snippet from an article 3 months ago when the "Atheist Bus Campaign" started. The UK is being rapidly and radically transformed into a nation that rejects Christ and Christianity in favour of islam and other anti-Christian beliefs, but this merely bears out the prophecies concerning the falling away, or apostasy.

Thank you, I would be interested in his reply.

Cheers, Steve..
I certainly wouldn't want to be in charge of one of those bus
companies, and I most certainly would refuse to drive one of those
buses which proclaims that God does not exist, if I were a
Christian bus driver. I would fight it tooth and nail. Are you
aware of any cases where a Christian bus driver has gone to court
over this issue? If so, how did they fare?

I find the level of political correctness which has overtaken the
world in recent years absolutely appalling. So in Britain it is now Winterval, and in the USA it is "Happy Holidays". Truly sad...not
that Jesus was born anywhere near that time of the year, but still.
It seems to me that all of this compromise is slowly leading to a
unified world government, and a unified world religion, but it
certainly won't represent the things that I believe in.
I accept that Jesus was not born on or about the 25th December, it is a holiday to honour His birth, in much the same way that Queen Elizabeth was not born in June, but we have a "Queen's Birthday" holiday in June. There are a number of steps here - one is to trivialise the message of Christ's birth by replacing it with Father Christmas, presents, sending cards and a "festive season" which includes Christmas and New Year. Another is to eliminate the "reason for the season" in Jesus Christ, and sell "holiday trees" and the like. Target in the USA sells these; the Australian Target continues to sell Christmas trees (regardless of whether the trees are pagan in origin & nothing to do with Christ's birth - yet another issue).
Again, Easter, regardless of its origins, has become a time of celebrating rabbits and eggs, with little public recognition of Jesus' death for our sins and subsequent resurrection.

As I read our title "Thought Police in Britain" I am thinking of movies, and it is so strange to read this, and know on a
whim, one can be picked up.... like 1984 coming or here.

Ok Will let you know when he reads it, and a reply. Perhaps he
will grace us with his appearance here. Warning, we don't get
along, so our debates can be hot ones <g>.

Interesting. Also a note that Islam is the fastest growing with
converts everyday. I wonder what they convert to?

Oh yes, I heard about the "St. George" bans too. All the rest as
so not to offend, but it is only fundalmentals getting all this
stuff going, all my friends different faiths, and all, I get or
try to get along with them all, wishing them the best at their
holidays and special days.
Looks like I'll be going to jail, because I still celebrate
christmas.
December 25 is His birthday. His real birthday.

Jesus' real birthday is December 25.
The only question that remains is what year
He was born in. I am not absolutely certain
of the year. Depends on how AD is computed.
