    Hi All...

the canadian fed gov't is using some weird language to define "single-use" plastic. garbage bags and doggie-poo bags are ok, but durable grocery bags that can then be used for garbage, are not.

    Ciao!

Then by that logic, plastic straws are okay.

What a weird nutty libtarded society we live in... that THIS is priority.

The "definition" has an exception for that! The bendable/flexi
straws are "ok", but the not the straight ones.

They DO say that it's problem based on the amount of plastic
showing up on "the shores". I suppose, since is a Canadian
ruling, they mean the shores of the Great Lakes.

Here's the link to the original article. Notice how the gov't
explanation kinda waffles in the exceptions:

Or the oceans. That is where a lot of the plastic waste washes up on the US/Mexican West Coast, and where the "plastic waste islands" are.

Generally speaking, those types of governments like to make priorities out
of the low-hanging fruit that they can control while letting other things (especially ones that might hurt someone's feelings) go.
