    It won't display properly. eg.,

    =========================================================================
    BinkleyTerm Version 2.60-uSoft8.0(Unregistered) Press Alt-F10 For Help ?[H?[2J?[H?[2J =========================================================================

    and when you're in the Outbound Window (Alt-Z) to inspect outbound mail packets, you can't see the scrolling lightbar which is annoying if you've got a
    list of outbound mail.

    You need VFOSSIL to display BinkleyTerm colours properly.

    A virtual FOSSIL driver. It allows Binkley (and other FIDO mailers) to run properly. IIRC, absent a FOSSIL driver, Binkley won't load.

    It's actually a *video* FOSSIL driver. :)

    Here's a link to the standard for it:

    Sortta... VFOS might just run Binkley as a stand alone FOSSIL. Might not, first you'll need a FOSSIL like X00 or BNU, then VFOS just then adds color to Binkley.

    Correct -- X00/BNU is essential, VFOS is nice. :-)

    VFOS is the Video FOSSIL driver, which is only required for color
    screens in Binkley. The communications with the modem requires a FOSSIL
    driver (in DOS versions.) IIRC, the OS/2 and Win32 versions do not
    require a FOSSIL, as they can use the OS serial port support.

    Andrew
