• IREX VS TRANSX

Mike Jerdon has offered to help me get my BBS connected
with League 65 InterBBS Global Wars. I guess I have to
learn how to use either IRex or Transx and haven't the
first clue about either of them.

Ok then I think the first thing you needed to do is to
look at transx or irex and see which one you like and set
it up. I am using transx but irex is just as good. You
need to setup whichever one and than we can go from there
    with the rest Ok?

Another learning curve. :-) Okay, can I get by on the
"regular" ($25) version of IRex, or should I go to the
    Server version for $45?

Since I'm running a DOS BBS, I'm assuming the DOS flavor
would be my best choice from either IRex or TransX. Or
would I be smarter to make the native OS/2 version work
with my DOS version of Wildcat?

    Smiley

Only difference really between them is how many nodes you can configure, you figure on having a large number of nodes or decide you want to be
particularly supportive of the continued development of IREX then buy the server version. Up to you.

DOS version should work well, tho your key will work with all versions of
IREX on all supported operating systems.
