i had some problems installing it. i didnt want to register on slasher's forum over something trivial.
is there a real way to contact the guy?

and why do the docs say slasher owns it?

Because you are using a version that is dead inm the water. I use PB 2.17 which was release before Telegrafix destroyed it. The upcoming version fixes several Y2K issues that Telegrafix didn't fixed.

John bought the source code from the former Telegrafix programmer who legally owned it. John had others go through it and fix a few things but the PB source code was still a terrible mess (I know; I have a copy of it). John then realized he couldn't do much with it so he sold it to Jason who has been able to fix a lot of the "fatal" issues with the PB code.

With 2.17, it's freeware, no registration. The rest of the Telegrafix and John's "registration" code is gone.

Jason Bock is a member of Fidonet and can be reached in the PROBOARD echo or at proboardbbs.com. He's also a member of Micronet and can be contacted in MIN_PB.
