    Local echo was not on. And emulation type was set as ANSI.
    Still gives those characters...

    Anyone Have any other idea?

    how is your terminal connecting to telnet? what terminal are you using?

    hit ALT-Z and look at the help... then try ALT-E ;)

    weird... i thought that might have been it... i've hit that ALT-E by accident a
    few times... i hav eno more ideas other than to check the echo settings on the bbs side...
