I got telnetd working, when i login from a telnet client, i get this garbage displayed. It looks like ANSI or menus are messed up.

because of the duplicated characters, it almost looks like you have echo turned
on instead of letting the BBS send the characters back to you... the echo
setting is a protocol setting in your terminal...
