    Hello All,

    How are FTN domains configured in BBBS? I need to use @fsxnet for zone 21 but don't see it in bcfg4 or the text file configs.

    I think BBBS deals more with AKA matching than it does domain names.

    When a remote BBS/Mailer attempts a inbound connection it uses a specified domain name provided in the nodelist or specified in the remote mailer's config. Then via DNS that DN is associated to an IP that is assigned to your nic or in some cases your router. Essentially BBBS listens on the specified IP for an incoming connection.

    For outbound connections BBBS uses the most recent compiled nodelist OR any [node_remap] settings specified in BBBS's external.bbb file to know to what domain name or IP to make an outbound connection to.

    I use this in external.bbb for some othernets over here:

    ======cut here===
    [ftndomains]

    ^[1-6]: fidonet
    ^111: stnnet
    ^115: pascal-net
    ======cut here===

    Then I use the global->fidonet->general->node numbers/aka matching

    Does that help?

    Take care,
    Janis
