    Hi Everyone!
I had a thought the other night.

Since gravel is bad for a goldfish tank because of the anerobic bacteria and the possibility of the gravel being stuck in the golfishs' mouth, i thought
of finding a base of some sort (like a tile thats safe?? Or ugf plates that completely cover the bottom of the tank) and using aquarium safe silicone to glue the gravel to these tiles or ugf plates....
SO the end result would be to have the gravel look without the risk of the fish choking or any anerobic bacteria building up in the gravel. the effect would be closely similar to having a bare bottom tank...
What do you all think of this????

I asked a very similar question in another NG about a pirahna tank. I have decided to go with slate tiles (real slate) accross the bottom and fill in
the small gaps in between with black sand - kinda like setting paver stones.
I thought it would look better than a bare bottom and not be reflective.
    Take Care,
    Jen
