Oh, I forgot to mention that this time, Mama Mbuna went 47 days between this spawn and her last spawn. Thus far, her record is 50 days between spawns. I also suspect that -- even though I didn't actually witness it -- this may
have been a large spawn, because her abdomen was looking quite full the past few days. There are so many young fry in there now, I don't know if I will be able to get an accurate count once she releases them in three weeks time. In fact, I've been thinking that it may be time to put some of the other males
in my two 20-gallon tanks in order to create more breathing space in the 45 gallon tank. We shall see.
