Is there any traffic in this echo?

Yes but I haven't seen any posts in here for quite awhile now. Anyone know a good place to find info on ghost shrimp?

basically, they are a transparent shrimp that many fish love... i used to get them from a place about an hour away... one of the main reasons i went there to
get them was due to the abundance of "pregnant" females i could get from them... i use pregnant in quotes because they weren't pregnant like we normally
think of... they carry their eggs under their tails like lobsters ;)

They are bottom feeders. Clear and look like very small crawdads (crawfish). I bought 6 of them about 6 months ago. They laid a bunch

must have the same sex now and I was looking for a way to tell if
there was an easy way of telling what sex they were.

Oh, okay. Now I know what you're talking about-I remember seeing them in a tank when I was going to get my fish. As for sexing them, I have no clue. I don't even know if Scarlet is even a Ms. Scarlet or a Mr. Scarlet. <G>

I was wondering if there was an easy way of telling the sex or the shrimp. I had some that was carrying eggs, but I haven't seen any in awhile now. The ones I have left are small ones.

without a scope and a way of viewing them, i don't think so... if they are in a
habitat that they feel comfortable in, they will procreate like most any other critter... i haven't been successful, either, in having any baby ghost shrimp other than the ones that came in eggs on the loaded females i've purchased... the idea does warrant more investigation, though...

    ROTFL!! no doubt! hahaha...

actually, i kinda wonder about the environment... maybe they want a saltier tank, one with fewer predators, or even possibly more or less light than given in a tank... my tanks that i've had them in have had guppies, black mollies, swords tails, goldfish, corydorus', and oscars... i was originally purchasing ghost shrimp for use as treats for my oscar(s)... later i was getting them for cleaning my community tanks... there are times, now, that i still get them but i'm down to an all male guppy tank and another that's all females and children that i pull the males from as soon as i can tell they are males and five corys that i have left since my female died and i haven't gotten another to raise more from... (ghod, what a runon sentence that appears to be) yes, i've gathered cory eggs from the glass and flat plant leaves and put them in a "birthing" net/cage... at one time, i had almost 100 of the li'l beggers O:)

whoops! i was going to put in the tanks sizes and missed doing so before it got
    scanned out...

later i was getting them for cleaning my community tanks... there
are times, now, that i still get them but i'm down to an all male
    guppy tank

    that's a 20gal tall...

and another that's all females and children that i pull the males
from as soon as i can tell they are males and five corys that i
have left since my female died and i haven't gotten another to
    raise more from...

    that one's a 30gal... i've also (unused ATM) two 10gals and a 20gal long... the
30gal used to house my oscar(s) and (i forgot to mention before) a pleco that reached 18inches when i traded him in at an aquarium store... my best/oldest oscar was pretty decent and getting crowded in that 30gal... if i was to have made a meal outta him, i'd have gotten at least three very nice sized fish sandwiches... there's a few pics of "oscar" (it was an albino tiger oscar) on my website in the "Oscar and Friends" exhibit in my photo gallery... slow link ( dialup :( ) but workable so don't expect any blazes if/when you visit ;)

    http://www.wpusa.dynip.com/

choose the photo gallery link in the left hand menu and then look under the "waldo" group...

If those are those little clear shrimps, not sure where one could find
info. I know they are great food for Angels :). My step daughter had
some in a frog tank, they lived for quiet some time.

cory's are herd animals... they like to group and travel in bunches... i've 5 now and they're pretty much together all the time and that's in the 30gal ;)
