From Joe Bruchis@1:3830/4 to Joe Siegler on Sat Mar 24 11:43:00 2001
    Hello Joe!

I never undertand why folks think Quake has better 3d rendering than Wolfenstein. At least in Wolf, the ligbts are on and the dead bodies look like real dead bodies. In the Quakes, they look like blocks of stone. Other than the
movment of figures in Wolfenstein, I think improvements could have been made to
its engine to leave the lights on and refine the surroundings and the seriousness of the characters.

Just a thought from an old "8086 to P4" kinda guy!

(Hi Steve, I got your mail, but am having Squish probs. I am changing to JAM soon).

    ROTT Blech!

You realize, of course, that Joe and I will have to kill you for this, given our involvement in the game? ;-)

Yes, Roger, didn't you know Steve's dead body is in the game, ROTT? It's sorta cinematic.

We had fun with the game when it came out around Christmas, many years ago. On Christmas Day, the picture of the characters showed them with Christmas hats while Christmas music played on the 8-bit sound blaster. <G>

It had good deathmatch levels Evan and I grew fond of.

I thought he was the pooch's snout. (-: Anyway, I gave that game to Ed Spoon (remember him?) because he thought the graphics and sound put Wolf 3-D to shame. I didn't play it but on a very few occasions and didn't have the same level of apreciation as did Ed.

    Didn't get that far. (-:

    That, either.

That's right, I got my copy from Ed. ;->

Did you notice how the conversing stopped once I arrived here?

Ooh! Sacriledge! Almost everything went from me to Ed to you. I'm beginning to think I'm ahead of the game. (-:

What, if anything, have you heard from Ed?

Did you notice how the conversing stopped once I arrived here?

    Maybe you have dandruff.
