She kept insisting: "You don't know what the side-effects will be like for

They are seething in vile hatred.

Trump should start wearing a t-shirt to the press briefings that says

Hydroxychloroquine does work there have documented cases from around

Point us to the scientific documentation, and I do not mean a few
    antedotal stories.

Based upon the facts, it sounds like the hatred for Trump is more important to some people with TDS than it is for people to recover from Covid-19

We don't hate Trump -- we hate the way he has put the nation in jeopardy
and costs the lives of people by his inability to accept the truth about
    the coming epidemic.

The Trump administration received its first formal notification of the
outbreak of the coronavirus in China on Jan. 3. Within days, U.S. spy
agencies were signaling the seriousness of the threat to Trump by
including a warning about the coronavirus, the first of many, in the President's Daily Brief.

And yet, it took 70 days from that initial notification for Trump to
treat the coronavirus not as a distant threat or harmless flu strain
well under control, but as a lethal force that had outflanked America's defenses and was poised to kill tens of thousands of citizens. That more-than-two-month stretch now stands as critical time that was
    squandered.

It is not enough to know that Trump was warned for months about the
coronavirus before it arrived. The fact that Trump did absolutely
nothing with weeks and weeks of time when a competent government would
have been distributing the WHO tests, increasing the supply of PPE,
setting up a functional and federally coordinated supply chain,
informing and educating the public, and putting a plan in place for a
national stay at home order should it become necessary.

Preparation wins the battle. Trump failed to prepare the country and has
been playing catch up against a virus that grows exponentially for
months. Trump is trying to blame the states. Donald Trump has tried to
blame Obama, but the fact that can't be erased is that this president
had 70 days of advanced knowledge to prepare the nation, and he did
    nothing.

But the question was a joke right off the bat. The older drugs are well known.

You are referring to the State of the Union address given on February 4,
2020. The word epidemic only occurs in connection to Aids and Opioid
addition. There was a small paragraph just before that where he simply mentioned working with China on the corona virus infection -- but he
made not inference that he had a clue that it might become an epidemic
    or pandemic.

In fact, he made statements about how it would just go away on its own
-- nothing to worry about. "This is like a flu" (Feb 26, 2020). It
was not until mid March that he began to acknowledge that it might
    become a serious problem.

SO, when you try to speak, why not look up the facts first instead of
just repeating some garbage given to you by some talking head.

The rest of your biased diatribe is not worth commenting on.

All I did was to accurately respond to what Richardson said about
Trump's statement about Covid-19. What Trump said was barely a mention
and certainly not a warning of a comming epidemic, unlike what
    Richardson said.

As I said, the rest of his diatribe was deleted. We have heard it

Speaker of the House expressed her disgust with his speech. She should
not have done it in that way, but it was a one time thing -- unlike the frequent diversions and lies that Trump is making every day.

The entire point of this tread is how Trump's delay recognizing the
seriousness of Covid-19 and in taking decisive action has cost many
American lives. If he had taken the threat seriously even just a month
sooner, perhaps the USA would not have had several times more infections

Correct -- there is little comparison between the single act of protest

every day. What Trump did and continues to do with spreading false

Did it? He "closed the borders" and yet tens of thousands of people
came from China to the USA since then. Besides which, what he did was
akin to closing the barn door after the horse had already gone. The
    infection was already here.

    Trump also took swift action
directing the medical hospital ships to east and west coast, gave

How much better would it have been if that action had been taken in late February or early March rather than April.

If you want to know what Biden would do, read his plan of action. It

whatever she wanted. And we all know what she did, as she did it

If you heard differently, I would be delighted to discuss it.

She never said a word as she ripped it up.

Why did she rip it up?

    Because she felt like it.

What could it be, that she did not like?

"Almost every page had something in it that was objectionable."
    ~ Nancy Pelosi

or is it that she was opposing the President because she thinks it is her

"I'm not talking about him personally. I'm just talking about his

As for her reason for ripping it up -

According to Nancy Pelosi, she did it in order to grab attention
for herself. That is what she told CNN's Christiane Amanpour in an
    interview on 2/16/2020.

    Hello Dale,

    [..]

but you didn't even mention or acknowledge that Nasty Nancy tore up the
    speech.

... Yes The Speaker of the House expressed her disgust with his speech. She
should not have done it in that way, but it was a one time thing -- unlike the frequent diversions and lies that Trump is making every day.

"I thought it was a terrible thing when she ripped up the speech.
First of all, it's a official document. You're not allowed. It's
illegal what she did. She broke the law." ~Donald J. Trump

    Did she? Did she really?

"It's so disrespectful to our country. And actually, very illegal,
what she did." ~Donald J. Trump

My, my. Dissing the president after he gives the SOTU speech
is illegal and can get one thrown in jail. Never knew that until
    the president said so.

"I had no intention of doing that when we went to the State of
    the Union." ~Nancy Pelosi

Well, since she had no intention of doing that when she went there,
why did she do it after he had given his speech?

After reading it through about a third of the speech she thought
"this is terrible" and "realized that almost every page had something
    in it that was objectionable."

Not that she actually had to read any of it, as President Trump
read it out loud for all to hear.

What do you do when the President of the United States is telling
a bunch of lies, on national television, getting all the attention
for himself? You do like Evel Knievel and conduct another stunt
that would generate even more attention for yourself!

As Nancy Pelosi herself explained "...we had little press on it,
and it seems that if you want to get press, you have to get attention,
so I thought, well, let's get attention on the fact that what he said
here today was not true." ~Nancy Pelosi, to CNN's Christiane Amanpour

So. There you go. Her act of trashing her own copy of his speech
had absolutely nothing to do with him dissing her by his refuaal to
shake her hand before giving his SOTU speech.

The entire point of this tread is how Trump's delay recognizing the >seriousness of Covid-19 and in taking decisive action has cost many
    American lives.

Not to worry. He is on top of it now. Testing 150,000 people
a day in the US. Once he gets testing up to 20 million per day,
    we'll have it made.

If he had taken the threat seriously even just a month sooner, perhaps the
USA would not have had several times more infections
    than any other country.

The US has 330 million people. Which means many more infected
in the US than other countries.

We had time to prepare, and he squandered it away.

It is only a matter of time until the entire world is infected
at roughly the same rate. Except for places such as North Korea ...

Trump spoke of the possibility of a `coming epidemic' in front of both houses of congress back in February. Nancy Pelosi doesn't know it (or
won't admit it) since she tore his speech in pieces and had it
    shredded!

You are referring to the State of the Union address given on February 4, DS>2020. The word epidemic only occurs in connection to Aids and Opioid DS>addition.

Oh! Did I make the mistake of using a word that Trump didn't use?

It was not the matter of a word, but of the lack of seriousness or DS>specificity in the minor three line two sentence throw away.

    Quick reality check:::::

The ***State of The Union*** speech wasn't ABOUT the coronavirus-19......it
was about ***The State of The Union***!!!

And no....there was no "lack of seriousness or specificity....."!

    Another quick reality check::::::

While the low-life democrats were playing `impeachment' games....China FINALLY reports the outbreak of covid-19 to the World Health Organization on December 31st.

Between January 3 and January 5...the Center for Desease Control director, Robert Redfield, sent two emails to his China counterpart offering to send US experts to China to China to investigate the coronavirus.

    And his
lack of taking any of the necessary steps needed to safeguard our DS>citizens.

On January 6 the US CDC issued a travel notice for Wuhan, China due to the spreading of the coronavirus.

Watch what he does, not what he says. He downplayed the
treat for the next month as something that would soon blow over.

January 7 The CD established a coronavirus Incident Management System to share and respond to the coronavirus situation.

January 11 the CDC issued a level I travel health notice for Wuhan, China.

    It was
not until about mid march that he began to take it seriously. Even then DS>he was all over the map in what to do about it.

January 17 the CDC began implimenting public health entry screening at the three US airports that the most travelers from Wuhan, China; San Francisco,
New York JFK, and Los Angeles.

"We are coordinating with the Chinese government and working closely together on the coronavirus outbreak in China. My administration will
take all necessary steps to safeguard our citizens from this threat." ....Donald Trump during SOTU speech.

The rest of your biased diatribe is not worth commenting on.

It slapped you right in your democrat-face, didn't it?

Here's some more for you chew on.......

January 20 Fauci announces the National Institutes of Health are already working on the developement of a vaccine for the coronavirus.

January 21 the CDC activated its emergency operations center to provide
ongoing support to the coronavirus response.

January 23 the CDC sought "special emergency authorization" from the FDA to allow states to use its newly developed coronavirus test.

January 27 President Trump revealed that he had made an offer to the Chinese dictator XI Jinping to send experts to China to investigate the coronavirus outbreak.

January 27 the CD issued a level III travel health notice urging Americans to avoid all nonessential travel to China due to the coronavirus.

Trump and his administration have worked hard in the face of both a serious pandemic and the scumbag antics of Adam schitt, Pelosi et al.....

The Chinese only reported the outbreak to the WHO on December 31! After
dicking around with that information for a few days...the asshole heading the WHO FINALLY sees fit to pass that information to the rest of the world!

Like I said; you're just another goddamn democrat!

Don't like the message, dinigrate the messenger. Typical Trumpian DS>tactic. You have learned well at your lord and masters feet.

You talk `down' to me and have for years. You detest me and would get me
banned from Fido if you could.

I piss you off because I say what I think. I also piss you off because I won't adhere to the leftist line. I don't think the democrats are the next best
thing to baked bread. I do not follow the crap the democrats put out without speaking up when I think something isn't right.

    Let me give you a good example that occured only in the recent past;

Nancy Pelosi was recently shown in her home showing off her $40,000 refrigerator stocked with designer ice cream!

This while millions of people were losing their jobs....businesses were shutting down....people were wondering how they were going to feed their kids and where their next paycheck was going to come from! Small businesses were having to go out of business.....and the best that wicked witch Pelosi could
do was overstuff a relief bill with money for fat cats....try to stuff shit in the bill that had nothing whatever to do with `coronavirus relief'....

She's a piece of democrat shit.

    Does that bother you? Good!

I don't have any reason to be `nice' to the
likes of you. You're nothing but one of Kracht's leash dogs!

BTW.....I don't give a fuck about Fido anymore. Fido is just something I do about once a week....sometimes I read all the messages....sometimes I only
read a few and thats it.

The whole of Fido practictly is overrun with a bunch of goddamn democrats just like you. There's a few conservatives left....but damn few.

And to me.....you're just another goddamn democrat!

I honestly think that will be the downfall of modern Democrats.

See, since the Obama days, the Democratic party has been playing Identitary Politics to its advantage, dividing the population into small, manageable groups, and telling them that their problem is one big group. That works well in the short run (politically, I mean), but it has a big problem.

It turns down that the big group, White Heterosexuals, are a) an overwhelming majority b) the most owerful engine in the economy. What does all that garbage get recycled into? Democrat voters.

I honestly think that will be the downfall of modern Democrats.

There are more of them (non-whites) than there are
of the other (whites). You know what that means ...

See, since the Obama days, the Democratic party has been playing Identitary
Politics to its advantage, dividing the population into small, manageable groups, and telling them that their problem is one big group. That works
well in the short run (politically, I mean), but it has a big problem.

Keeping non-whites together is like herding cats.
But it can be done. As shown by Obama (and others).

It turns down that the big group, White Heterosexuals, are

White heterosexuals are only one group of many. Not even
    a majority of the population.

    a) an overwhelming majority

Whites barely outnumber non-whites. Many whites and non-whites
are not heterosexual, but that does not mean squat in today's world.

    b) the most powerful engine in the economy.

This country was founded by rich, white slave-owners. They
did not give away their property, or sold it for cheap. Almost
all of our presidents, up until Abraham Lincoln, owned slaves.
Not only that, but the practice of institutionalized slavery
did not come to an end until after Lincoln's death. That is
how much rich white people in this country cherished their
    property (slaves).

Even after slavery came to an end, white folks continued to
hold all the power, and economic means, to do what they want.
Black folks had nothing, and had to live according to the
rule of "Jim Crow" laws that were enacted to keep him enslaved,
despite human bondage having been abolished.

The racism of white people is what made America great. But only
for white people. Not for anybody else.

When you turn your party line against their interests openly, what you are
doing is creating a very big enemy for yourself.

Donald Trump's "America First" policy is clearly racist, taken
directly from the playbook of the KKK. Perhaps his late father
Fred Trump had given him a copy, and maybe a few special coins
    to keep in his wallet.

I think Identitary Politics when done to the extreme will result in the
complete oblitaration of the party pursuing them if they do it long enough.

The only thing Donald Trump was missing when he made his
Inauguration Speech on January 20, 2017 was a white sheet
    and a hood.

"Make America Great Again" - would have made Charles Lindbergh
proud! The two of them should have flown together to Europe and
    stayed there!

I don't know how long they've been doing it, I've only started paying
attention in the last 10 years.

But it looks like they're doing it wrong already! The white guy as the
nominee? After minorities lost to him? Doesn't that go against rule #1 in identity politics?

Certain Republicans have tried to do it too, including Trump, but I forgive them for it; they are just being influenced by their Democrat peers.

There's nothing racist about "America First," except for it should be

My understanding is that White Heterosexuals are an overwelming political majority in the US. I don't know the specific details. Here in Spain they are both the most registered voters and the most of the population.

As for being an engine in the economy, I mean getting things done in general, from directing firms to moving boxes in a warehouse. People laugthes a lot, but the sum of many small familiar farms ammounts to a whole lot of production.

I'm not versed up on Spain's demographics. The population is so incredibly diverse, in the US, that the only way to get a granular breakdown is to conduct a study on the census. Sexual orientation? How would anyone know that information unless it were volunteered? Would it be a truthful declaration?

Yeah, the US is intensely diverse. Racially, I don't think there is a white majority. I may have time later to research it. But, it's also far more complex since many of our firms operate, at least partially, outside the country.

I like to work on the assumption that cnsus and broad studies are bought by whoever ordered them (seriously, you should see some opinion polls around here) so most of the time I base my opinions on things that I can experience myself. Which means the sampling is very small, but at least I know what to expect.

Regarding Spanish demographics: I certainly expect less variety than in the US. We have a significative gypsy population (have had it for centuries) and a lot of illegal immigration from North Africa. Also a significative bit of SOuth Americans.

When I visited industries and factories and such, what you found operating machines and manufacturing goods were your old Péérez and García. You know, Spaniards whose genealogic tree you could probably track to times of the inquisition. IN the Spanish case (not implying that it is comparable to the US), if gypsies stoped working, flea markets, fairs and potato production would collapse; if South American immigrants stopped working, nothing would collapse; if North Africans stopped working, mining would take a strong hit (probably collapse, but not sure). If whites stopped working, EVERYTHIN else would collapse.

This is what I mean when I talk about being an engine. If Hispanics in the US decided to call it a day and stop working, figure out what would collapse. Then compare it with what would collapse if different groups decided to do the same. Many groups are more powerful than others (which is, in fact, the core fact Identitary Politics root from).

It also links to the idea of being a political majority. I probably didn't explain myself very well earlier. The thing is, having the most members does not mean anything if your members generate no political pressure. Say, if a village has more 80 years old people than younger people, old people is probbaly not a powerful political group because the only thing they can do is cast votes. They cant elect Union leaders, go on strikes, paralyze industries and so on. Vote casting is a powerful thing to do, but I think that rising funds for political campaigns and causing media impact is extremely important nowadays. If you think my idea makes any sense.

    Yeah I was on the web a little while ago and thought I saw this;

Headline: Joe Biden: "No one should be going to jail for drug crime, period, nobody."

He goes on to say he knows a lot of marijuana smokers....and that we should wait till all the `studies' are done!

My experience on `studies' is that anything the government (federal OR state) sets up a `study' on, will go on year after year, cost scads of taxpayer
money, and the only thing they end up determining is (wait for it)....we need more `studies'! People will end up making a whole career out of `studying' the marijuana thing!

I sincerely hope Joe Biden is the democrat nominee. He's so stupid as to make Alfred E. Neuman appear genius level by comparison.

The cartel fire fights getting closer to the border, and when they start spilling over into this country what we need is a good quick military response with a couple of Marine divisions and one Army armored division.

You clearly never served, did you?

    Yeah I have.

    I was in the Army.

    That explains it! Thank you!

That's what Andrew Cuomo said too. He's been holding marijuana users hostage ever since he was elected. His most recent weak excuse is the corona virus.

When he first legalized it for medical use, he said he omitted PTSD from the qualifying conditions list because "more research is needed." He was full of it.

He should have legalized years ago, and people could have better weed during the quarantine, and the industry could be a boost to the state economy, but we've got a democrat legislature, so they aren't feeling very motivated about boosting the economy.

Me too. He did a double gaffe today. Sometimes I think he's actually on our side :)
