I think if PX had a mailer mode like the old days it could help reduce the script kiddies.

Can you explain further, what issues are you seeing?

If you use PXW & Netserial you could add all your nodes to PXW if you have the latest version of PXW which is Multiline.

What I did is added a prelog screen with an Enter to Continue, the scripts
    used don't expect that.

This would only work if your other nodes support mail transfer via
telnet and had a mailer listening on their telnet ports.

3.x was Multinode as well. Just depends on which license you bought.

I have modified PRELOG.WCX that I built a CAPTCHA module into thanks to an idea
presented by Matt Munson a while back.

    Hi Robert,

In my case I found most of the scripts don't event press ENTER and just hang up.

I like your idea better though, although it does prevent a fast login if one needs that feature.

Yeah, I have not quite worked that feature into it yet. But, then
again, not too many people use that feature anyway.

Unfortunately, I can't distribute the modified WCX per SSI's rules. :(

That is probably due to most users knowing the feature even exists, it is required if there was a qwk node connecting. I still use it to connect to SSI.

    Not sure what you mean here, I don't see a prelog.wcc ?

You won't unless you had a copy of the wcBASIC Plus Pack.
