• exec/init-tickit.ini

From rswindell to CVS commit on Thu Apr 9 18:31:02 2020
    exec init-tickit.ini NONE 1.1
    Update of /cvsroot/sbbs/exec
    In directory cvs:/tmp/cvs-serv7461

    Added Files:
    init-tickit.ini
    Log Message:
Converted from maketickit.js. Let me know if you care for this format, Nelgin. The alternative is JSON, really, but I like .ini for this type of list.

Well, it could be worse. It could be XML.

JSON or YAML wouldn't be terrible for formats, but ini keeps things consistent, and I think that's more important.

The main reason I use .ini is because it's easier to read and edit and with the ini* functions of the SyncJS File object, they're very easy to deal with in JavaScript (and C/C++).

However, if there's a need for more than a 2-level hierarchy, JSON is the way to go (for Synchronet JS modules).
