• New Feature

I am setting up mystic for a second time, lost the last setup because my VM
had a failure... never mind... anyway.... is there a way to copy menu options on the main menu and copy that feature to an other menu....

Options that are common on several menus can be cut an pasted over from one
    to an other...

    Just wondering...

    Thanx

One possibility may be to use the Global menu for things you want the same on several menus.

You can specify on each menu weather to include the global menu in it.

You can copy menu commands within the same menu, but it clears when you open a new menu. I could probably change it so that it keeps the copy when you load a new menu though, if the general consensus is that it should work that way.

Options that are common on several menus can be cut an pasted over from one to an other...

You could also add them to the global menu. This is a menu that is automatically added to each menu, unless you set a particular menu to not load the global menu items.

It in your theme, there should be a menu called global (not sure if it is included in the default theme). If you do not have one, just add a menu called global, and add the commands you want.

If there are any menus you do not want to include the global commands, simply edit that menu and turn off include global.

it does clear when I open an other menu... this feature would be nice at some point...

    Yes.

And if you don't want them included in a menu you have to go into /S (Menu Settings) when you first open a menu. In 1.11 it might be /F (Menu Flags). Either way you'll see a menu with "Use Global" option to turn it off or on.

I added in a global menu and all is good...

I have an upgrade question though....

Would it be better to do a complete re-install of the latest alpha and then copy over my menus and txt files.... or can I just copy keep the current install and copy over the exe files...

Depends on what version you're presently running. The .RAR will have full upgrade instructions.

If you're moving from A34 to A35 it's as simple as copying in the new executables and recompling your MPL scripts.
