if mystic crashing tossing netmail/echomail, it leaves a semaphore file, when
a client tries to connect it just drops them wihout knowing why.

Adding a message saying that the board is currently tossing mail would be a fix.

That's probably not a real good "fix" though, since the board would remain down
    until that semaphore is cleared.

Instead, what may work better for now (at least until James is able to do something about it), is instead of executing mutil directly from Mystic using the semaphore, would be to run a script that looks for the semaphore, runs mutil if it exists, and then double checks to make sure that semaphore is cleared at the end of the script. At least if mutil crashes that semaphore would still be cleared and continue to allow client connections rather than rendering the system completely useless until the sysop intervenes.

    Regards,
    Nick

I have batch file for mis2, it shouldn't be to hard to add it for mutil. it
was just puzzling why users were being dropped.
