    Hello everyone. I'm currently working on getting InterBBS chat working on my system here. One other BBS has decided to join so far. If anyone else is interested feel free to contact me either through netmail or email (stephen.atkins@gmail.com).

    It doesn't sound hard to do. Just need to forward a port on your router and setup your side in mbsetup. I know it won't get used very much but could be fun to just give it a try.

    Now my question to the rest to the group. Why would his netmail get put in the
    /var/unknown directory? If he's in the nodelist then I would argue that he's is in fact known. Is this a setting I've missed?

    Because my node is not setup with a password in MBSE's node setup. Only mail and files that you recieve from your configured links (with a password) go
    into your inbound. It's a security feature.

    no... generally speaking, known and unknown pertain to if the session is secure
    or not... if you are not using a session password between your system and alan's, you might should consider setting one up... the reason for this is because i can set up a system to fly someone else's node number and poll you...
    if there's mail there for that number, i'll probably get it... if you have a session level password set up, i won't know it and my connection will fail so the mail will be safe...
