• mibbit closing

    For you guys that use mibbit irc client on the web, this is the last
    month it's operational.

    i didn't even get notified, electro told me.
    they could have emailed me. I am a very old member and have had staff visit my irc server.

    Wow. I have used them on and off, actually have been work with The Lounge on my site as a client on my server.

    I use irssi on most of my linux hosts; but having a web client to connect to is nice.

    Sorry to see them leave, and appreciate the service they provided.

    well i understand why they took it down. it's not a money maker and it attracts trouble.

    Kiwi IRC has been pretty good to me - they have a pretty simple web component I use.

    I've used them before. Pretty nice setup. However, if you don't want your IP address out there, then you'll need to use a VPN, proxy, or whatnot if you use Kiwi.

    I have a telegram bridge and I enjoy using that on my irc server.
    It's certainly added to it in a positive way.

    I have a telegram bridge and I enjoy using that on my irc server.
    It's certainly added to it in a positive way.

    I quit using Telegram when they snuck "1488" into a recent blog post. :| As for bridging chat platforms, I use MatterBridge to connect the IRC and Discord presences of a couple of RP communities that I'm in.

    Just messing around the other day and Mibbit was back up and running. I accessed it with a Tor browser. Couldn't get to it through Chrome. Didn't try any others.
