It seems to me that in order for a charge of 'obstruction' to be
successful there would have to be some underlying criminal
investigation that was being obstructed. There was no underlying crime

Aside from Russians meddling in our elections ...

And not to mention the fact that the campaign welcomed their help. One
of the take-aways from Mueller's testimony was that when asked if it
would be wrong for a politician to accept help from a foreign power, he answered "yes, and an crime". And yet Trump has stated that he would
willingly accept such help and would not report it to the FBI (as he
    should).

    Hello Dale,

Did they? Or were they just curious to find out what they had
to offer? A scandal is not necessarily a crime. Even if it is.

One of the take-aways from Mueller's testimony was that when asked if it
would be wrong for a politician to accept help from a foreign power, he answered "yes, and an crime".

Donald Trump Jr is not a politician. Mueller decided not to charge
him with any crime, letting him off the hook by calling him "naive".

And yet Trump has stated that he would willingly accept such help and would
not report it to the FBI (as he should).

Norway is not a hostile country.

I love the way the lefties pop off about any minor little thing about a republican...yet ignore their own consorting with Russians.

`Russian nuclear officials stated that `Moscow hired American lobbying firm APCO Worldwide to influence Hillary Clinton; then Secretary of State; among others in the Obama administration.' (Shades of Russian collusion!)

`Apco was expected to give assistance free of charge to the `Clinton Global Initiative' (an acronym for `Clinton slush fund'!)

Moscow paid APCO a $3 million dollar annual fee; `for giving free assistance
to the `Clinton Global Initiative' (IOW the Clinton slush fund) toward
insuring the Obama administration made favorable decisions o everything from Uranium One to the US/Russia Nuclear cooperation deal'! (Shades of `Russian American politician collusion!')

But....but.....lets not let ourselves become distracted from the false attempt to paint Trump as `colluding' by exposing Clinton's all-to-real Russian collusion!

It would destroy both Mueller and the left's whole pukie story!
